Haven't updated in a while. I'd say I'm sorry, but who will see it? XD
Anyway, things are looking not so good here in Israel right now. Lots of protesters against the military actions in Gaza, and lots of rallies to support the military. Personally, I find the situation unfortunate but the military action could not have been avoided. But I'm worried, since one of my best friends is a paramedic in the army, and because he's recovering from previous injuries he didn't go to Gaza yet. If he had gone there, then he would have had a building falling on him two days ago. He's going to join all the other soldiers in a week or so. I hope it will be over by then.
In other news, I'm currently reading The Wheel of Time - I'm in the middle of the third book, our of the 11 published. I'm sketching all kinds of scenes and characters from the book, and I might post some of the sketches here. My brother tried making me read the series for a long time now, and I don't know why I never did. It's actually really good :0 I love almost all the characters.
And one last thing - my art project. I'm in the art major in my highschool, and in two months we have our exhibition (which will also be our final exam in art). I'm working on a short animated movie that will feature lots of guys like him;
It won'y be a clean animation because I don't really have enough time, but I'll at least make the story clear. You'll see what it's about when I finish and post it :D

Urgh, I had too much homework for the holidays, and since I didn't actually ever felt like doing them, I fought with my mom about it all the time. So I always felt guilty if I did something not school-related :C
BUT, all the drawing and painting I was suppoused to make are due for monday. So I'll have more time to develop the story and draw stuff I actually WANT to draw for a change.
In other news, NODAME CANTABILE SEASON TWO OMGOMGOMG! :DDDDD Oh, happy days!!! That show is my god for introducing me to Rachmaninov, AKA My FAVORITE composer EVER!! And they're in PARIS now!!!
Also, I've become addicted to all the songs from Nana. Reira and Nana have such beautiful voices, I can't stop listening to it :,(
Other than that, YAY Obama won :D! Eventhough I'm not too happy about his ideas for Jerusalem (from what I understand, he suggested to split Jerusalem and give the eastern side to the palestinians once they have a country\state\whatever the right term is), but I'm against the Republicans in general, so I'm just happy the Democrats won. ^^

Still working on the background for the story! I'm trying to show the differences between the races in the facial features (there are humans, wizards and fairies), which is easy, because wizards have like.. no hair at all and slightly pointy ears, and fairies.. well I MEANT for them to have a sort of Asian face, but whenever people see me trying to draw an Asian face they say it looks Native American. Oh well.
So there are wizards and fairies, and that's ok, but the humans live in three different kingdoms so I figured they should look slightly different from each other too. So I drew bold women. Yay :D

So that's it for now. Some shitty things happened yesterday but it's ok now, so I don't feel like going over it again (I called like four different people and told the same thing over and over so I'm sick of telling it now). Have an awesome day :0!

Omg our school's vice principal just had a stroke in school between 6th and 7th period and an ambulance came and took him away and none of the students know what going on atm O_O.. Apparently it happened before, in Purim [a holiday we have sometime around March] two years ago and he recovered and came back to teach but I don't know if having another one will necessarily mean that this time it's gonna be more dangerous. I hope not, everyone at my school really like him, he kinda looks like a huge teddy bear and he really DOES know every single student in the school.
And in other news, I bought a nice big green folder and I'm gonna plan out my story more seriously. I even drew a map,

I just want to have everything written down before I write the acutal story. You know, maps, history, charcter profiles and all that. Wish me luck!

Look at me, appearing after the forever of... not-appearing?
Just thought I might actually use this journal, maybe.
So anyway, I just got back from NYC a few hours ago. It's a 10 hours flight from NY to Israel, and it was a night-flight, but there was a bunch of teenagers who were in the states for like three weeks and they all set around me and wouldn't let me sleep, and their guide was sitting in the seat next to mine and everytime she told them to be quiet I was all "WHY DON'T YOU SHUT UP YOURSELF FIRST YOU SOUND LIKE AN OWL STFU" X_X
Of course my friend that SoB was sleeping in the buisness class xD goddamn rich people.
New York itself was fun though, but we walked around so much that I don't think I'll be going to any gym classes next year either [I hardly showed up for the gym classes this year which enabled me to do the impossible and fail gym xDDD]. Also I got a taneventhough New York is rainy. In the summer. What. The. Fuck.
So now I'm back to Israel where it doesn't rain in the summer. Or at all actually. :D

I love my colored pencils. I do. They're so fun to color with!
..I do NOT love my scanner, though. It killed my draw :(

The first thing on that list that makes sense to me is being an animator.
I feel kinda stupid now for never thinking of it myself before that quiz thing. I mean, there's something about art, the kind that is shown in museoms that repels me kinda. I'm more light headed and I love humorous things that that kind of art doesn't have a place for. I mean, when I saw Marcel Duchamp‏ Fountain last year during Art History class, I thought the concept was amusing. Turn our he criticised the whole subject of art and blah blah blah and it turned out to be not very exciting and kinda boring. I liked it better when it was just a urinal called a fountain.
I'm also very offended by the fact that nowadays you don't have to actually KNOW how to draw to be called a painter. WTF. I mean, even if I find the most awsome concept there is in the world and spend years on developing it and finally create a painting blown with details and realism and it would look spectacular - someone else could pass the same idea with a canvas that looks like someone puked on. It's depressing.
And besides, I never aimed for full realism. I like it when something is recognized as human\dog\whatever, but still has the artist's personal style in it.
Now, on the other end.
I've been inlove with Disney's movies for ever. I had this sad childhood with no friends (I was a very annoying child XD), and all I ever did was literally watch Disney movies. I mean, I woke up, went to school, got back, ate lunch and then I picked a tape, put it in the vcr and watch. When it ended, I rewinded it and watched again and again until it was time for supper. I ended up knowing entire scripts + choreography. I could dance with half the characters, and my parents and brothers would watch me, looking something like this; O___________O
Those Disney movies made me love everything I love today; music - aspecially soundtracks, drawings, bright colors, stories, eventually I grew up and watched all those movies again, only this time I watched them in English - I only watched them in Hebrew as a child - and it really helped me to learn English. I came to the first English class on fourth grade knowing English well enough to be able to communicate, and all that without actually having a teacher.
AND I am currently a huge movies fan. XD
But for some reason, MAKING those films that I love so much never occurred to me.
Sadly, there's no future for animators in Israel. Me and my friend had a talk about what we wanted to do, and as she wanted to be a fashion designer and wouldn't have a future here either, we got to the conclusion that the only choice is moving to the US. Probablly New York.
Now let's see. In Israel, after finishing highschool, everyone must serve in the army - girls for two years, guys for three. I'll graduate on June, 2009. I'll start serving probably on January, 2010, and be out by the start of 2012. Then it's time to start saving money, possibley having a trip to europe (usually, when people finish serving the army they have some trip somewhere... Though most people go to India and Thailand). So I think that I won't actually get to go ANYWHERE sooner than 2014.
Which gives me 7 years to try and keep this whole idea in mind. XD I tend to change my mind alot.
Sorry for blabbing.
Anyone knows how to do the cutting thing? :(

I'd just like to say, I'll sign almost any piece o' crap [lol Lockheart-Syndrom] if I drew it. It's just so much fun to sign. I dunno why.
For some reason, everyone ignore the fact the Hermione is friggin' CRAZY. She is. :3
Teehee, Ron's drunk and grumpy. And the lower Ron hates proportions\me.
Lately, when I feel like drawing but have no inspiration, I just find a gallery full of animal pictures and draw them. This was the first time. I can't draw animals ;^;
On the leopard at the bottom it says "Only smart people can see my spots" X_X I be lazy.
I STILL can't draw animals. Luckily, Crookshanks' not a full cat, he's half kneazle, so WHO CARES.
This would have been the case if I would have written the book. ..It's a good thing I haven't XD
...The thing on the top was a flower... Before I tried to copy it and completely killed it. :(
YAY DOE!!
Monkeys + Jesus jokes = FUNNEH.
Um, yeah, id I don't write a description down I won't remember the design. :( Which doesnt really matter, because it get's all screwy anyways.
There's also a Bellatrix-thing like that, but I don't like the sketches there.
Did you know how manny giraffe pictures there are on the internet?! ALOT! I don't understand it at all.
A sketch for the next piece of my fanart100 project. The innocence theme. :( Poor baby Harry.
Drive theme. Rejected version, because uncle Vernon sucks here.
LOL I totally stole Makani's design for Uncle Vernon after I realized mine sucks.
Lupin came out all wrong too. And he has no neck X_X
AND FINALLY, this is me, while watching Knocked Up;
I totally feel at home when I'm at the movies, taking off my shoes and everything XD Not in the winter though because socks are smelly.
Umm yeah so that's about it. :D
